Penganugerahan ASEAN Energy Awards 2023: Kategori ASEAN Energy Efficiency and Conservation Best Practices Awards dan ASEAN Renewable Energy Project Awards
Penganugerahan ASEAN Energy Awards (AEA) 2023 dilaksanakan di Bali Nusa Dua Convention Centre, Indonesia, pada tanggal 25 Agustus 2023. Penganugerahan tersebut dilaksanakan bersamaan dengan The 41st ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting (AMEM) dan ASEAN Energy Business Forum (AEBF) 2023. ASEAN Energy Awards merupakan penghargaan tertinggi di Asia Tenggara yang mengakui partisipasi dan minat sektor swasta yang lebih besar dalam pengembangan energi di kawasan ASEAN dalam kemitraan dengan sektor publik.
Kegiatan ini diselenggarakan oleh ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) dengan tujuan untuk mempromosikan pemanfaatan energi baru terbarukan serta penerapan efisiensi dan konservasi energi di tingkat regional ASEAN. Penghargaan AEA diberikan untuk beberapa kategori yaitu ASEAN Energy Efficiency and Conservation Best Practices Awards, ASEAN Coal Awards, ASEAN Renewable Energy Project Awards dan ASEAN Youth Awards.
ASEAN Energy Efficiency and Conservation Best Practices Awardsterdiri atas tiga kategori yaitu:
I. ASEAN Best Practices for Green Buildings (GB) Awards
- Large Building
II. ASEAN Best Practices for Energy Efficient Buildings (EEB) Awards
- New & Existing Building
- Retrofitted Building
- Tropical Building
- Special Submission (appropriate technology, cutting edge technology, zero energy building)
III. ASEAN Best Practices for Energy Management (EM) in Buildings and Industries Awards
- Building (small & medium buildings, large buildings)
- Industry (small & medium industries, large industries)
- Special Submission

Di tahun ini, Indonesia mengirimkan 18 proposal peserta, yang merupakan para pemenang Penghargaan Subroto Bidang Efisiensi Energi tahun 2022. Sebelum mengirimkan proposal, para peserta Indonesia mendapatkan pendampingan intensif dari tim teknis Kementerian ESDM. Proses seleksi dan penentuan pemenang AEA disaring dari puluhan kandidat berbagai kategori yang diusulkan seluruh negara anggota ASEAN. Para pemenang ini ditetapkan melalui hasil penjurian yang telah dilaksanakan pada bulan April 2023 lalu.
ASEAN Renewable Energy Project Awards terdiri atas kategori yaitu:

III. Off Grid – Local Grid
IV. Off Grid – National Grid
V. Off Grid – Power
VI. Combined Heat and Power Generation
